Blue Steal

Love this outfit! I feel like a modern day 1950's poodle skirt girl with a edgy kick to her! The one staple in my wardrobe would have to be the high waisted bottoms, what can I say? I like my waist like I like my heels, the higher the better!

So I know that Hello Kitty is for 9 year olds but I think Kitty looks so cute with this outfit! (I call her Kitty so I don't feel like a 9 year old)  In reality this outfit would be cute with any graphic tee   because of the flirty skater skirt. Since I couldn't find anything retro enough in my jewelry collection I decided to go bold with colors to complete the look. Its very easy to do, all I did was put on red lipstick and  my edgy electric blue jacket and called it a day!  I put nude shoes with it because anything else would be too much for my taste with the red and blue.

All and all this is a very easy, super cute look that is ready for any day event if you throw on a hat like I show or spice it up with the jacket for night time with killer black heels.

Summer lovin

Happy Monday everyone! I'm off of work and I am using this beautiful day to take more photos for the blog! I've realized that I have been doing more causal outfits lately so today I'm bringing the edgy! Can't wait to show you all my new outfits!!

This outfit is so causal and so easy and perfect for a day date with your lover! I went out of the box with the color of these shorts but I had to get them cause all of you know how much I LOOOOOVE the high waisted look! I kept it simple with just a white V-neck and a jean jacket to complete the look. As for the accessories, I wanted to go bold with color because its summer and WHY THE HELL NOT!? I love for my accessories to make as much of a statement as my outfit.

So I debated a long time over my Barbie pink wedges because I thought I would never wear them but they are so darn cute, I had to get them! I can't wait to wear them to the beach or out about with a sundress or even jeans.

Shorts: G by Guess (April 2013) $35
Shirt: Old Navy (Old) $7

Shoes: G by Guess (April 2013) $50

Festival Wear

(^^Word up to all the homies out there)

Sooo I love this outfit because it is so comfortable! This outfit is perfect for the beach, running errands, or an outdoor festival. Thats why I love this dress so much because it is so versatile, if I wanted to look more dressy I would put my hair up and do long earrings with a waist belt and wedges.

I'm kind of doing this thing now where I only wear two accesories with each outfit because I do put a lot statement pieces together so keeping it simple with the jewelry is not only easier for me (because I'm lazy) but also makes the outfit look less "worked". I like my style to look easy and effortless and in order to do that you must pick your pieces with care.

I DO NOT LIKE TO MATCH!

In fact I try not to match but try to complement. It is much easier then going into a store and not picking something that is cute and would make your outfit adorable just because "Its not the exact shade of blue!"
I see it too many times at work and really no one is going to notice that the shades are slightly off because the  eye will trick the mind into thinking it is the same shade until it is pointed out. Don't stress yourself out because you will only end up with a headache and two different shades of blue.

If you complement the colors then your life and style will because less stressful. For example, my fedora does not match my dress but the style compliments the outfit and gives it the extra easy feel that I wanted with this look.

Ketchup and Mustard

Today was a yucky rainy day and I thought it was suppose to be summer! Instead, this whole week is cold, wet, and just flat out icky!  So I wanted to be bright and comfy with my high waisted shorts and pop of color  of the red and yellow. I know it looks like ketchup and mustard or Mcdonalds but I think it's kind of cute.

I'm almost done with school and this week is finals so I promise I'll do more blog posts after this week is done and I'm trying to decorate my room so I'm gonna do some DIY projects too!

BTW I tried to smile more in this post cause everyone keeps making fun of my "look" so enjoy!

Springtime flowers

This is my beautiful family!
This was the other outfit of choice in the vote. I love this dress because I feel like a 50s house wife but way sexier! With this outfit I wanted to keep it really simple since the dress is the statement piece. Sorry it has taken so long to do a post, I have been really busy with work and moving into my new place that my blog has been slacking!

Greek Goddess

Greek Goddess won the vote! I put a picture of this outfit and another outfit on my FacebookInstagram, and Twitter to see which one my viewers wanted to see and this one won but not by much! I really liked this idea so I'm going to do it again, follow me on my social media so you can have a say on my next post!

So I met this really cool guy and we are going to a date to a really nice Turkish restaurant in downtown and I'm going to wear this outfit! I think its sexy yet classy at the same time. It will be our second date so I will just need to remember to relax and let my personality shine though.

This outfit was super easy to create because A.) the dress came with the belt and B.) I love these brown shoes so if I had to wear heels I would wear these! But seriously these shoes are so comfortable, I love them and always try to make outfits around them. So to play up the wrap greek goddess look I used gold accessories and curled my hair to soft curls and VOLA!  Can anybody say Aphrodite?

Shoes: G by Guess (March 2013) $40 ON SALE!

American Rebel

First off, a big thank you to Thrift Store Runway! I entered this outfit into their monthly contest and ended up being one of the five winners! Check it out here! I'm so happy and thankful!

These cute little shorts I made myself! I am obsessed with the american flag apparel out in stores but I'm not a fan of the price tag so I made these little bad boys myself! I went to Goodwill and found a pair of old jeans so I could cut them up then went to the dollar store and bought a little flag. Then I called all my girls over and we did all our DIY projects together! It was so much fun! A shout out to my friend Christy  for her amazing sewing abilities, Thanks love!

 Easmin's Questions

1. Describe yourself in 5 words?
Sarcastic. Goofy. Blunt. Moody. Passionate.

2.If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
New York! But I really do hate the cold and have never seen snow so California is more ideal climate wise.

3.Who inspire's you?
That's a tough question because there is no one thing that inspires me. I get inspired by the amazing people I follow on Instagram, the wonderful people in my life, and myself.  I can find something inspirational anywhere!

4.Whats your favorite brand of cosmetics?
I'm not a big make up girl so I don't know much about the different brands but I enjoy my Mac make up for the most part.

5.What can you not do without on a daily basis?
Social Media. I start going through withdrawals if its been too long.
6.What is your favorite movie?
How the Grinch stole Christmas: Jim Carry. I quote that movie at least once a day, it is absolutely amazing!

7.What does your blog say about you?
I have no clue! You tell me cause I don't know but I hope it says that you don't need to be rich to look amazing and its the confidence that makes the outfit.

8.Describe your personal style?
Statement! I love statement pieces because they give so much personality and I like my outside to match my inside.
9.What is you addiction?
Besides social media...Food! I love going out to dinner and trying new restaurants and just enjoying food.
10.Are you a pessimist or an optimist?
Pessimist but I'm trying so hard to be less of one! Its one of the things that I'm really trying to impove about myself.

11.Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Hopefully in New York or California working in the fashion world but if not is a cute little loft in big city with my sissy enjoying our young adult life together.

My Questions

1. What made you blog?
2.  Who is your fashion icon?
3. If you could only eat three things for the rest of your life what would they be?
4. If you could only pick 5 artists to listen to for the rest of your life, who would they be?
5. What do you hope to get out of blogging?
6. Whats your favorite show and why?
7. If you could pick any other name besides your own what would it be?
8. Describe your ideal perfect day.
9. What do you want to be when you grow up?
10. What is your favorite fashion trend?
11. What fashion trend do you wish never happened?

My Nominees!

8.The latest Wrinkle in Effect http://thelatestwrinkleineffect.blogspot.com/
10.  Lilly and Rachel http://lillyraebeauty.blogspot.com

I didn't have to look far for the perfect candidates because these all lovely ladies I'm already following! Hope you all have a blast and enjoy this award as much as I did!

Aztec Warrior

Okay so I have very big legs and thought I could never pull off a tribal print legging but I saw them at an amazing deal (70% off clearance!!) and decided to try them on and voila! They didn't look bad all, in fact they looked pretty darn cute! Its really all about trying stuff on. I tell most women to just try it on and if you hate it, you hate it! Who cares?! At least if you tried it on you know for a fact it doesn't look good instead of just assuming it wont it. And who knows it might look amazing on you, you will never know unless you try it on!

That jean vest was really an old jean jacket that didn't fit me anymore so what I did was found some gold studs and put them on the front and on the back of the jacket then cut off the sleeves. After I found that gold tiger iron-on press at Micheal's for 10 bucks and put it on the back of the vest for a finished look. You don't always have to go to Goodwill to find DIY projects sometimes they are right in your own closets!
